The World
A mother and her teenage daughter are on the run from the only life they knew, hunted into the remote dark where monsters are the least of what lurks.
Isabel is rebuilding herself in the wreckage of her old life, grieving what she lost, struggling to both protect and understand a daughter who is evolving as unpredictably as the terrain around them.
Kaya is coming of age in a reality that keeps unraveling around her, desperate to trust someone with her secrets, and terrified of what she might discover about herself.
While uncovering the dangerous truth about their family, Isabel and Kaya become caught between two powerful forces, each demanding their allegiance and willing to go to any length to secure it. It's in these shadows, farthest from civilization, where they discover the deepest flaws of a system far bigger than themselves.
Isabel and Kaya must find their place in a world that wants to control them, and decide, for themselves, who they want to be.
